Audi showed the concept of a large electric SUV
More and more well-known car manufacturers are producing electric versions of their popular models. Audi, which introduced the Q4 Sportsback e-tron concept, also decided to break into the promising market. It is reported that it is on the basis of the new prototype that an electric SUV worth 45 thousand dollars will be released.
Audi Q4 Sportsback e-tron will get two engines at once, thanks to which a four-wheel-drive system with a total output of 225 kW will be implemented. Audi claims that from zero to 100 km/h, the car will accelerate in 6.3 seconds, reaching a maximum speed of 180 km/h.
The battery will have a capacity of 82 kWh, which should be enough for 450 kilometers without recharging in accordance with the WLTP standard. The German automaker says that the transmission implemented in the concept will be used in the flagship line of the production model.
The competitor of the new SUV from Audi will be the Ford Mustand Mach-E. The interior of the car is identical to that implemented in the Audi Q4 e-tron. The manufacturer itself says that it will be a fairly large car. Its dimensions are 4.6 meters long by 1.6 meters high.
Sales of the commercial version are scheduled for the end of 2021.
