Nissan showed the interior of the new Qashqai
The next-generation Nissan Qashqai crossover will get a virtual dashboard, wireless charging for smartphones, and the largest projection display in the segment.
Nissan has published the first photos of the interior of the next-generation Qashqai crossover. The new product, which will premiere in the spring of 2021, will receive a significantly changed "digital" interior with large screens and a minimum of physical switches.
Apparently, the pictures show the interior of the crossover in the top configuration. Such a car will receive a 12.3-inch customizable virtual dashboard, as well as a 10.8-inch projection display, which, according to Nissan, will be the largest such screen available in this segment.
On the front panel there will be a 9-inch separate touch-screen display - a multimedia tablet with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Amazon Alexa voice control. The driver and passengers will have access to a wireless charging station for mobile gadgets, USB ports, including USB Type-C, as well as a Bose audio system with 10 speakers. A number of vehicle functions can be controlled remotely using the NissanConnect App. The interior can be finished with Nappa leather.
In addition, the photos show a new small electronic transmission selector, as well as a "washer" for selecting driving modes for all-wheel drive modifications.
The third-generation Nissan Qashqai will be the first European model of the Japanese brand based on the CMF-C scalable architecture. In the design of the car, the use of high-strength steel will increase by about 50%, so that the body will be stronger than its predecessor by about 40%. At the same time, the hood, rear doors and front fenders will be made of aluminum, and the boot lid will be made of composite materials, which will allow the crossover to become lighter by 60 kilograms.
The Nissan Qashqai engine line will include an upgraded 1.3-liter petrol turbo engine, available in two boost options: 140 and 155 horsepower. Transmission - six-speed "manual"or CVT. In addition, the crossover will be available with a 190-horsepower hybrid e-Power unit, where the gasoline engine plays the role of a generator for recharging batteries, and an electric motor is responsible for traction.
