New Audi A3 received a 245-horsepower hybrid version
Audi has unveiled the A3 Sportback 45 TFSI e hatchback, which is able to drive exclusively on electric traction up to 60 kilometers.
Audi has introduced a sports version of the new generation A3 hatchback, which received a 245-horsepower hybrid installation with the ability to recharge batteries from the power grid. The car received units that are used, for example, on the new Volkswagen Golf GTE and Skoda Octavia RS.
The power unit of the Audi A3 Sportback 45 TFSI e is based on a 1.4-liter petrol "turbo-four", working together with an electric motor powered by batteries for 13 kilowatt-hours. The electric motor is integrated into a six-speed automatic gearbox with two clutches.
The hatchback is capable of accelerating from zero to "hundreds" in 6.8 seconds, and its maximum speed is 232 km per hour. The vehicle can travel approximately 60 kilometers on purely electric traction. The batteries can be fully recharged using a regular household outlet in approximately 5 hours.
The standard equipment of the new product includes led matrix headlights, tinted Windows, dual-zone climate control, sports seats and the Audi drive select system, which allows you to change the settings of the power unit, transmission and steering. In Germany, prices for the car start from a mark of 40.4 million euros.
New generation Audi A3 hatchbacks and sedans will reach the market in the first quarter of 2021. In the domestic market, the model will be available with a 1.4-liter "turbocharger" with a capacity of 150 HP, as well as with a two-liter supercharged unit that produces 190 horsepower.
