Updated BMW X7 spotted on public roads
The big BMW X7 crossover will change its appearance and get a new hybrid power unit.
BMW has started testing the updated BMW X7 crossover on public roads in Munich. Spy photos from the tests were published by Carscoops. The premiere of the new product should take place at the end of next year or early 2022.
In the pictures, the car is hidden under camouflage, but now we can say that the large crossover will get new narrow headlights in the style of the BMW i7, a large grille, other bumpers, a raised hood, and a different air intake. The car lights with new graphics will be connected with a chrome strip. Photos of the salon have not yet been published. Most likely, the car will be equipped with a digital dashboard and an upgraded multimedia system.
The technical characteristics of the restyled BMW X7 are still kept secret. As Carscoops suggests, the car will get at least one new hybrid version that can be recharged from the network. In addition, existing engines are likely to be upgraded.
The current BMW X7, which has become the largest crossover in the line of the Bavarian brand, was introduced in October 2018. The sales of the seven-seater car was launched in the spring of last year. The model is offered with a three-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 249 horsepower. The X7 can also be equipped with a three-liter diesel engine with four turbines that develops 400 horsepower.
The petrol range is represented by a 3.0-liter engine that produces 340 horsepower. The most powerful modification of the all-wheel-drive BMW X7 is a variant with the designation X7 M50i xDrive. This car is equipped with a 4.4-liter supercharged V8 petrol engine that produces 530 HP and 750 Nm of torque.
