Ferrari Catches Fire In Lake Shore Drive Crash - Two People Injured

The accident occurred due to overspeeding. As a result, the driver could not cope with control and crashed into a bump stop.

In Chicago, a red rented Ferrari 488 Spider was involved in a major accident. According to CBS Chicago, the car hit a bump stop, overturned, and then caught fire. At the time of the accident, there were two people in the car - a 22-year-old driver and a 20-year-old passenger. As a result of the incident, they both required medical attention. 

According to Autoevolution, the accident occurred due to speeding. As a result, the driver was unable to control the car. So far, the police have not reported whether traces of drugs or alcohol were found in the blood of the motorist.

Later on Twitter, a user named Geek Jab wrote a post in which he claimed that he was driving the rented Ferrari. The young man said that he is "a good driver, and numerous angry comments were associated with the fact that most of his detractors simply can't rent such an expensive car themselves.
