Huracan STO - Lamborghini has released an extreme supercar worth €250,000
Lamborghini has introduced the most extreme version of the Huracan supercar, called the STO (Super Trofeo Omolagata). The car used extensively the technology of the Huracan Super Trofeo Evo and Huracan GT3 Evo racing cars. At the same time, the new product is allowed to drive on public roads.
More than 75% of the car body elements are made of composite materials, so the coupe turned out to be 49 kg lighter than the previous extreme modification of the model - Huracan Perfomante. The weight of the car, which also received special wheels made of magnesium, was 1339 kilograms. The company noted that this is no more than "the average European compact hatchback with a three-cylinder engine."
The Lamborghini Huracan STO features a significantly redesigned front end with additional air intakes for improved cooling of the power unit and a sophisticated aerodynamic body kit with an adjustable wing that generates 53% more downforce compared to the Perfomante version. In addition, the new car is equipped with carbon-ceramic Brembo brakes.
The supercar is equipped with a new 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine that develops 640 HP and 565 Nm of torque. Traction is transmitted exclusively to the rear axle. Lamborghini Huracan STO is able to gain the first "hundred" in 3 seconds, and it takes 9 seconds to accelerate from a standstill to 200 km/h. The maximum speed is 310 km per hour.
Lamborghini Huracan STO will be released in a limited edition. The price of the supercar, sales of which will begin in the spring of next year, will start at 249.5 thousand euros. It is assumed that the Super Trofeo Omolagata will be the "farewell" version of the Huracan supercar, which will later be replaced by a new model.
