Audi has updated the sports crossover SQ5
The top version of the Audi SQ5 crossover has changed in appearance, received new multimedia, and a 341-horsepower diesel engine.
Audi has presented an updated version of the sports modification of the SQ5 crossover. According to the press service of the German brand, the restyled model will be produced at the Mexican plant in San Jose Chiapa. In Europe, sales of new items will start in the first quarter of next year. The minimum price is 68,137 euros.
The updated SQ5 received the same exterior changes as the updated Q5. The crossover's octagonal radiator grille has become narrower and wider, and the air intakes in the front bumper have increased in size. Also, the car has changed the pattern of daytime running lights. In addition, the car has a new decorative strip between the rear lights and an updated diffuser. Basic versions of the crossover are equipped with LED headlights, for an additional charge, customers will be offered matrix optics.
The restyled SQ5 features sports seats upholstered in Nappa leather, an MMI infotainment system with a 10.1-inch touchscreen display, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with various graphics options.
Also, the 3.0-liter diesel unit that comes with the car has undergone revision. Due to the tightening of environmental standards in Europe, the power of the unit was reduced to 341 horsepower. The engine is still powered by a 48-volt starter generator, which provides coasting with the engine off and maintains a start-stop function.
The transmission is an eight-speed automatic. Up to a hundred, the updated crossover can accelerate in 5.1 seconds. The maximum speed is 250 km per hour.
