The design of the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo declassified before the premiere
Porsche has started the final road tests of the Taycan Cross Turismo electric station wagon. Spy photos from the tests were published by Autocar. In the pictures, the car is presented without camouflage. The new product will be built on the same Premium Platform Electric (PPE) platform as the standard Taycan. From a conventional electric car, the station wagon will differ in an elongated rear part of the body and increased ground clearance.
As for the technical characteristics, they are unlikely to change. Most likely, the "green" station wagon will receive a basic version with a capacity of 530 HP with a battery capacity of 79.2 kWh. A 571 HP version with a 93.4-kilowatt-hour battery will also be available. Older versions of the new product will receive a 680-horsepower electric installation. The power of the top-end modification of the electric car will be 761 horsepower. There is no official confirmation of this information.
The premiere of the five-door was supposed to take place at the end of this year. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the debut of the new product was postponed to the next year. Production of the electric car will be set up at the Porsche plant in Zuffenhausen. which the company calls the "plant of the future". The new production facilities use electricity from renewable sources, and only electric equipment is used for domestic transportation.
