Mobile Google Chrome will start marking fast pages
Google Chrome will start tagging fast pages with a special shortcut. The update will be launched in the mobile version of the Android browser.
Users will be able to see the "Fast Page" shortcut when long-clicking on a link in the context menu if the page they intend to visit meets Google's requirements for Core Web Vitals. The innovation will be implemented in Chrome 85 Beta.
The new label will be assigned to pages based on historical data. For this feature to be available, the user must have Lite mode turned on or the "Help improve browsing and search" setting.
Recall that earlier Google Chrome launched an experiment with hiding full page URLs.
