Google Search Console started to support micro-markup for licensed images
Google has added support for a new type of structured data to Search Console - image licenses. Also, this type of micro-markup can now be tested using the Rich Results tool.
The micro-markup data for licensed images will be available in the Improvements report in Search Console. Owners of sites using this type of structured data will be able to understand how often licensing information is displayed by the search engine. In particular, the report will show the number of impressions, the number of clicks, and errors in the implementation of micro-markup.
As a reminder, structured data, or IPTC metadata for licensed photos Google began supporting in February 2020. With these, site owners can tell Google that a particular image is licensed. The License icon will appear in Google Images search results after the final launch of this feature.
