To begin with, you can choose some kind of minimum indicator, for example, one article per week. In the future, try to increase the number of articles to two or three per week (or more, if you have the opportunity). At the same time, I recommend sticking to this plan no matter what: even if you have written two articles today, it is better not to post them at once, but to share them with readers after a certain period of time chosen by you. In order to interest the user, it is important not only that he visits the site, but also that he is carried away by the topic of your blog. Therefore, I recommend using linking in articles, that is, in one article, provide links to one or more other articles that are relevant by topic (or keywords). You can do this either manually or using WordPress plugins. Pay attention to the so-called "bread crumbs" - this type of navigation will increase visitor loyalty, as well as improve your position in search results. Finally, do not forget about tags - be sure to assign them to your posts to make it easier for readers to find material on a topic of interest to them; also tags are used to select articles with similar topics.

4. Respond to comments

As a blog creator, you most likely want to get some kind of feedback on the material you post. Likewise, your readers want to see that their comments and their opinions receive a certain amount of attention. By responding to comments and engaging your users in conversation, you can create a certain emotional connection that positively affects the traffic and popularity of your blog. Of course, if you behave yourself, than make yourself a good image. However, do not forget that someone may not like your content - I advise you to react to such comments too (if they are within the bounds of decency). In fact, any emotions cause a certain emotional connection to you or your blog – and this fact is often used in advertising campaigns – but I still do not recommend shocking the public too often.

5. Add a section about yourself and feedback

This only applies to personalized blogs that somehow highlight the author's figure. As stated above, firstly, it will bring you a little closer to your readers and provide you with emotional involvement; secondly, messages from your readers can contain a lot of useful information, they can inspire you to make new posts, give you the opportunity to improve your blog and just get to know interesting people better. You can use your email address (or a link to a page on a social network) as contact information, but the most convenient way is to use one of the WordPress plugins. By the way, it is also a good idea to create posts answering readers' questions about you and your life - this kind of feedback will bring you closer to your readers and make you want to visit your blog more often.

6. Hold contests

Even if you run a completely non-profit blog, it is worth running contests from time to time in order to attract the attention of regular and new users to you. Try to choose some creative assignment that will be of interest to the widest group of users, but at the same time related to the topic of your blog. In doing so, you can also arrange for voting to select a winner to attract even more visitors to participate.

It's no secret that the vast majority of Internet users spend their time on various social networks. Why don't you tell us about your blog there? At the same time, you can use both your own resource – that is, independently provide links to articles of your blog on Facebook, Twitter or anywhere else - and use the help of your readers who will re-post to their pages on social networks. You can start communicating with potential readers of your blog on third-party resources, the topics of which are similar to what you are writing about. For example, you can participate in discussions on Quora or write some messages on the forums. Of course, you will get the most attention if you help solve users' questions and problems - while you can use information from your blog and provide links to interesting and relevant articles.

Optimizing your blog is extremely important and needs special attention. There are many plugins out there to help you reduce your blog's load time, optimize it for search engines, and more.

Various counters (for example, Google Analytics) are required to be installed. You can't tell what's going on with your blog, how many people and how often visit it, if you don't track your site statistics. For example, it will help you understand which posts aroused the greatest interest among readers, and when your site is visited by the largest number of people - depending on this, you can adjust the publication time of articles and their subject matter.
