TCL at IFA 2020: two new tablets with NXTPAPER screen and MOVETIME smartwatch

At IFA 2020, TCL presented three new gadgets at once: two tablets TCL 10 TABMAX and TCL 10 TABMID with displays built using NXTPAPER technology and offering better color and contrast performance compared to E Ink, as well as MOVETIME smartwatch with automatic SOS mode in case of an emergency.

Both TCL 10 TABMAX and TCL 10 TABMID tablets are equipped with 10- and 8-inch NXTPAPER displays, which, according to the company, are absolutely free of eye strain or irritation, even with extended use. TCL spent two years developing such screens, and the technology uses 11 patents designed to protect the eyes from harmful radiation and flickering.

Thus, the main feature of the TCL tablet family is an image that is as natural as it is on paper. Compared to LCDs, the NXTPAPER offers 25% higher contrast but is 36% thinner.

TCL 10 TABMAX features ultra-low latency stylus support. Also, the gadget is equipped with a 13-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. The built-in battery capacity is 8000 mAh. The more compact TCL TABMID received an 8-inch FHD display, a 5500 mAh battery, and two cameras - an 8-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. The tablet is built on the Snapdragon 665 platform.

The latest innovation of TCL is the MOVETIME smartwatch with support for fourth-generation networks and the ability to make calls independently from a smartphone. The key feature of the gadget is the function of detecting the user's fall and automatically sending an SOS signal with the current location to your favorite contacts to notify them of what happened.
