A new useful feature has been added to Google Maps
Google has carried out another redesign of the Google Maps mobile application in honor of the 15th anniversary of the service. In addition to the updated navigation bar and improved public transport tracking function, the new version of the application has a section for saving interesting locations similar to bookmarks in the browser.
In the "Saved" menu, you can now track geographical points shared or recommended by friends and acquaintances. In addition, Google has made it much easier to find interesting places nearby that was recently saved. All points added earlier to the section will be displayed on the map as a carousel with simplified navigation.
The company also announced the inclusion of an algorithm for sorting the list by distance from the user's current geolocation. If the location history tracking feature is enabled on your device, Google has provided the mobile version of Maps with the ability to monitor your movements with reference to the calendar.
The innovation is still available only to users of the Android version of the application after installing the corresponding update, which is already spreading in waves in various regions.
