Detailed specifications of Google Pixel 4a 5G ware published
Following the specifications of the upcoming Google Pixel 5 announcement, insider Roland Quandt posted a detailed list of technical characteristics of the Pixel 4a 5G model in the public domain. According to his report, the upcoming devices will largely duplicate each other in terms of hardware — but still get noticeable design differences.
According to the informant, the smartphone will be equipped with a 6.2-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2340x1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 60 Hz and a protective glass Gorilla Glass 3. For comparison, the Pixel 5 will have a 90-Hz screen and a scratch-resistant six-generation Corning coating - both devices will receive HDR support. For unlocking the gadget, as in the case of the older model, the fingerprint scanner located on the back of the device will be responsible.
The core of the Google Pixel 4a 5G will be an eight-core Snapdragon 765G processor with a clock speed of up to 2.4 GHz and a Titan M security chip. The device will receive 6 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 128 GB. The rear camera module of the new "pixel" will acquire a main Sony sensor of 12.2 megapixels (f/1.7, 1.4 microns, dual-pixel phase autofocus), and a 16-megapixel one with wide-angle glass (107°, f/2.2, 1.0 microns ), and the selfie module has one 8MP sensor (f/2.0, 1.12 microns).
The main camera will support both optical and electronic stabilization, and will be able to record video in 1080p resolution at up to 240 frames per second, or 4K @ 60 fps. The device will receive stereo speakers, two microphones, a 3.5 mm audio jack, a slot for one nano-SIM and support for eSIM technology.
Unlike the more expensive model, the Pixel 4a 5G won't come with wireless charging. Its battery capacity will be 3885 mAh with support for 18 W power supplies. The body of the smartphone with dimensions of 153.9 x 74.0 x 8.2 mm and weighing 168 grams will be made of plastic. According to the source, the Google Pixel 4a 5G will cost €499.
