HUAWEI Y9a: quad camera, retractable front camera and fast charging
HUAWEI released a smartphone called the Y9a, a global version of the Enjoy 20 Plus model announced last week. Despite the external similarity with the Chinese version, the new product has received a number of hardware modifications, affecting the display, processor model, and main camera module.
HUAWEI Y9a is equipped with a 6.63-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The device is based on the MediaTek Helio G80 mobile platform. It has 6 or 8 GB of RAM in various configurations and a 128 GB expandable storage device. The new product runs under the proprietary shell EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10.
Huawei Y9a provides with a 4200 mAh battery. At the same time, the power of fast charging technology will differ for different markets — users in some countries of Central Asia, the Middle East, and Africa will receive support for 40 W battery power supplies, while customers in other regions will be able to support 22.5-watt charging.
The main camera of the HUAWEI Y9a is represented by four sensors with a resolution of 64, 8 (wide-angle optics with a viewing angle of 120°), 2 (macro lens), and 2 MP (depth sensor). The resolution of the front camera of the device, equipped with a retractable mechanism, is 16 megapixels. The smartphone received a 3.5 mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, LTE modem, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS.
The smartphone measures 163.5 x 76.5 x 8.95 mm and weighs 197 grams, and comes in three color options: gray, pink, and black. The cost and start date of new items will be announced by the manufacturer later.
