ZTE revealed new details about the Axon 20 5G sub-screen camera
In a few days, ZTE will introduce the world's first smartphone with a sub-screen camera - the Axon 20 5G. On the eve of the presentation, the company's management told about the device's main feature: according to the vendor, it used the latest third-generation sub-screen sensor, an analog of which Xiaomi is still preparing to release on the market in 2021.
ZTE executive Lv Qianhao confirmed that the Axon 20 5G uses a third-generation camera - the most advanced currently available on the market. The area of the screen that is required to accommodate it is less than one square inch.
The display is divided into several different layers: protective glass, cathode, LEDs, glass substrate, and matrix. For maximum transparency and anti-diffraction, the module is covered with an anti-glare layer.
According to past leaks, the ZTE Axon 20 5G will get a 6.92-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels. The gadget will be built on the Snapdragon 865 or 865 Plus platform and will be equipped with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory. On the back of the device will be placed a quad-camera with sensors at 64, 8, 2, and 2 megapixels.
The presentation of the ZTE Axon 20 5G will take place on September 1, 2020.
