ASUS announced the date of the presentation of the new flagship
Last year, ASUS introduced the flagship smartphone ZenFone 6 back in May, but the release of its successor is already pretty delayed. Until now, the company has been silent about the presentation of the seventh generation, but finally, it still made an important announcement regarding the future of the line.
The official YouTube channel of the Taiwanese division of ASUS has already announced the presentation of the new flagship, which will take place next Wednesday, August 26. Most likely, due to the coronavirus, the event will be held exclusively in an online format. Judging by the teaser, during the presentation, the company intends to show several models at once. It is assumed that in addition to the usual ZenFone 7, the advanced ZenFone 7 Pro will also be presented.
It is expected that the basic version of ZenFone 7 will get a Snapdragon 865 processor, and the Pro version will get a more powerful Snapdragon 865+. The devices are also credited with a 6.7-inch screen, up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of permanent memory, a 5000 mAh battery with support for 30-watt fast charging, Wi-Fi 6 and NFC. There is no official confirmation yet whether the new products will get a rotary camera like the ZenFone 6.
