Insider: HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro will receive unique camera technology
HUAWEI's next flagship smartphone will be the Mate 40 Pro, which network sources attribute to a unique main camera module. According to the Twitter insider @RODENT950, known for multiple reliable leaks, when creating the gadget, the company will use the technology of producing optics based on a liquid material for the first time.
A tweet published by the informant indicated that the HUAWEI Mate 40 rear module will use a 50-megapixel sensor equipped with "liquid" lenses. Unlike traditional optical systems, their design allows you to quickly and accurately change the focus point by adjusting the volume of technical liquid (for example, a mixture of oil and water). Previously, HUAWEI described this technology in one of its patents but has not yet implemented it in practice.
The insider also credits the device with a 20-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, an 8 MP sensor with a telephoto lens, and laser autofocus. It is expected that the smartphone will receive a 6.67-inch curved screen with an embedded front camera and a face scan sensor, a Kirin 9000 processor, and a 4300, 4600, and 5000 mAh battery in the Mate 40, 40 Pro and 40 Pro+ versions, respectively. The presentation of the brand's new flagships is expected to take place in September 2020.
