The design of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is revealed by a reliable source

A selection of leaks about the upcoming release of a more affordable version of the Samsung Galaxy S20 smartphone has been supplemented by an authoritative network informant under the nickname @OnLeaks. The insider published a series of high-quality images and a short video showing the gadget, which will receive the Fan Edition prefix in the name and a number of design differences from the base model, as well as listed its technical characteristics.



According to the leak, Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will get a flat 6.5-inch Infinity-O display with a hole for a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The dimensions of the device, "packed" in a plastic case with a metal frame, will be 161 x 73 x 8 mm, and its back cover will accommodate a rectangular block of a triple main camera with a laser autofocus sensor.

According to available information, the new product will be equipped with a Snapdragon 865 processor, and the amount of RAM of the model in different configurations will be 6 or 8 GB. The rear camera of the smartphone will include two 12MP sensors (the main Sony IMX555 and an additional one with a wide-angle glass), as well as an 8MP sensor with a telephoto lens and a 3x optical zoom function. The device will be running OneUI 2.5 firmware based on Android 10.

On the right side of the gadget, there will be power and volume buttons, on the bottom - a USB Type-C port, a hole for a microphone, and a speaker grill. The manufacturer will place the SIM-card slot on the upper end of the device. Like the older models of the line, the Galaxy S20 FE 5G will be responsible for the security of a sub-screen fingerprint scanner. 


The upcoming product is credited with a display refresh rate of 120 Hz, a 4500 mAh battery, and protection of the case according to the IP68 standard. According to the source, the smartphone in red, white, green, and orange cases will be presented in October this year at a price of $750.
