Redmi K30 Ultra performance compared to other flagships
Soon after the announcement of the "budget flagship" Redmi K30 Ultra with a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor, the smartphone appeared in the databases of various benchmarks. Enthusiasts have already published the results of testing the gadget in various disciplines and compared the capabilities of the mobile platform with the achievements of older models of chips from other manufacturers.
Redmi K30 Ultra is based on an eight-core MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.6 GHz and an integrated 5G modem. The flagship chip is manufactured using a 7nm process technology and includes four high-performance Cortex-A77 cores in combination with four energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores and a Mali-G77 graphics accelerator.
The MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ benchmark results in all categories were compared with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and Huawei Kirin 990 5G scores. In the synthetic benchmark AnTuTu, the MediaTek processor scored 539,786 points and took second place, losing to the Qualcomm solution, and when tested in the AI Benchmark, thanks to a powerful six-core neural computing unit, it took the lead.
On launching Geekbench 5 and GFXBench, the chip was again in second place, showing a slight edge over the HUAWEI processor.
A similar picture was observed in 3DMark - the performance of the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ was higher than that of the Kirin 990 5G, but the Snapdragon 865 again demonstrated the best results.
Redmi K30 Ultra received up to 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM in the older configuration, a storage capacity of up to 512 GB, and a built-in 5G MediaTek Helio M70 modem with energy-saving functions. The cost of new items in China starts at $287 for the basic version.
