Microsoft has not yet announced the Surface Duo branded smartphone, but it is rumored that the premiere of the original device will take place in the coming days. Authoritative insider Evan Blass published a series of press renderings of the gadget with two displays, and a little later the expected date of the upcoming event leaked to the network.
According to numerous leaks, Microsoft Surface Duo will get two 5.6-inch AMOLED displays connected by a 360-degree swivel joint. The total screen area in the "tablet" mode will be 8.3 inches. The performance of the device will be responsible for the Snapdragon 855 processor with LTE support, the amount of RAM will be 6 GB, and the built-in memory will be 64, 128 or 256 GB without the possibility of expansion. The device is also credited with an 11 MP front-facing camera and a 3460 mAh battery.
According to the source, one of the features of the Android gadget will be deep integration with Microsoft services - in particular, the renderers show icons of a number of branded SoftMaker applications. The expected date of its presentation has also become known - the company has started sending out invitations to a virtual briefing on the Surface Duo, which will be held on August 12.
Earlier, the smartphone was highlighted in the databases of the FCC and Bluetooth SIG regulators, as well as in the hands of a top Microsoft Manager.
