Google Pixel 5 and bendable smartphone - Google's plans to release new gadgets leaked to the network
Thanks to the efforts of insiders, an internal document of Google Corporation appeared on the network. During its detailed study, informants found out what devices the company plans to introduce in the near future. In addition, according to the leak, the manufacturer is preparing to join the number of brands that have bendable smartphones in their assortment.
The document lists all builds of the Android operating system for Pixel devices starting from the second generation of the smartphone. The list also includes the recently announced Pixel 4a, and the yet-to-be-unveiled Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5, as well as the Google Pixel 5A smartphone with the code name Barbette. Its release, as well as the presentation of three more gadgets, is likely to take place next year.
The Pixel 5a will presumably be positioned as the successor to the Pixel 4a and will become one of the company's most affordable smartphones. Three other devices, code-named Raven, Oriole, and Passport, have not previously appeared in insider reports. Network informants associate the names Raven and Oriole with the new flagship Pixel 6. As for the Passport gadget, according to analysts, this name hides the first Google folding smartphone. Back in 2019, Google's top Manager Mario Queiroz confirmed that the company was actually developing a prototype of such a gadget, but at that time the engineers did not have a clear concept of the device itself.
In addition, the document mentions the expected delivery dates of Pixel 4a and Pixel 5 - the start of sales of devices, according to the source, will take place in the fall of 2020. A more specific date became known thanks to a leak on the official Google France website, where the pre-order opening date was specified as October 8. The presentation of Pixel 5a, according to the document, will take place in the second quarter of 2021. Google representatives did not comment on the leak.
