Specifications of the flagship HONOR V40 leaked to the network before the announcement
The HONOR brand has not yet announced a new line of V40 smartphones, but the first details about the technical characteristics of the upcoming new products have already appeared on the network. One of the Chinese insiders published on the social network Weibo not only detailed information about the hardware of the flagship gadgets but also the expected retail price of each of the three modifications.
According to the informant, the new lineup will be represented by three smartphones: HONOR V40, V40 Pro, and V40 Pro +. All of them will receive a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor, 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM (up to 12 GB for Pro+), and 256 GB UFS 3.0 drives.
The older model is credited with a curved AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a 4200 mAh battery with support for fast (66 W) and wireless (27 W) charging, and a triple camera with 48 (1/1,3") and 12 MP sensors (wide-angle glass), as well as a telephoto lens with 10x optical zoom and OIS. The device's dual selfie module will presumably have a 32 MP main sensor (Sony IMX616) and a depth sensor.
The HONOR V40 Pro, according to the source, will get a 4300 mAh battery and a similar front-facing camera, while the refresh rate of its curved AMOLED screen will be lower and will be 90 Hz. The main camera of the device will receive a Sony sensor with a resolution of 64 MP. The younger model of the line will get a flat 90-inch display with a cutout for a single 32-megapixel selfie module.
The estimated cost of the base version of HONOR V40 is $471, and the Pro+ modification is rumored to cost buyers $785. The date of the presentation of new products is not reported.
