OPPO A74: Snapdragon processor and capacious battery for $255
The new mid-budget smartphone of the company is presented in two versions at once: for LTE and 5G networks. The gadgets based on Qualcomm chips differ not only in the processor model, but also in other characteristics, including the type and refresh rate of the display.
OPPO A74 4G is equipped with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels, 100% coverage of sRGB color space, 92% DCI-P3, and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. At the same time, the smartphone supports the game mode, the activation of which increases the sampling value of the sensor from 135 to 180 Hz. A fingerprint scanner is located under the surface of the screen.
The device is built on the basis of the Snapdragon 662 processor, which supports 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. The battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh with fast 33-watt charging is responsible for the autonomy of the model. The OPPO A74 4G received a triple main camera with a 48 MP main sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and two additional 2-megapixel sensors with an aperture of f/2.4. The selfie module of the gadget embedded in the screen has a single sensor with a resolution of 16 megapixels.
The OPPO A74 5G received a Snapdragon 480 processor, an IPS screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera sensor in addition to the triple module similar to the younger model. Other specifications of the smartphone are identical to the 4G version, with the exception of the fast charging power (18 W) and the fingerprint scanner "moved" to the side edge of the case.
Both gadgets have acquired a USB Type-C port, 3.5 mm audio jack, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules with support for the aptX codec. OPPO A74 4G and A74 5G cost $255 and $288 respectively.
