OPPO has patented a smartphone with an advanced zoom camera
OPPO has received a patent describing a technological solution for the system of one of the sensors of the smartphone's main camera for shooting with 15x zoom. The document specifies the principle of operation of the hybrid zoom, as well as the design features of the device.
According to the provided sketches, which were then converted into high-quality 3D renderings by LetsGoDigital, the OPPO smartphone will receive a curved OLED display with an embedded camera. A massive main camera module with a two-level projection will be placed on the back of the device.
Judging by the description, the gadget will be equipped with three sensors. The increased thickness of the device due to the camera module is due to the ability to take photos and videos with 15x zoom. It is noteworthy that in the range of OPPO patents there is already a smartphone with a similar design, but a round camera module equipped with mechanical guides.
The design of such a device still exists only on paper, and the manufacturer does not disclose plans for its release.
