Rumor: Apple will partner with Samsung for an advanced camera in the iPhone
Just a few weeks after the start of sales of the iPhone 12, insiders became actively interested in the future flagship of the American company. Another report points to a possible collaboration between Apple and Samsung aimed at developing a periscope camera for the iPhone 13.
According to Chinese media, Apple is interested in working with South Korean manufacturers specializing in the development of periscope lenses for mobile devices. The vendor presumably plans to integrate such a module into the iPhone 13 in order to increase the maximum zoom ratio when taking photos.
It is possible that Samsung may become a partner of Apple, which already has a technology still in development that offers a 100x zoom in a smartphone. There is no official confirmation of such a partnership yet.
It is noteworthy that not so long ago, Samsung acquired the company Corephotonis, which just specialized in scaling technologies and even filed lawsuits against Samsung and Apple for patent infringement. After the takeover of the brand by the Korean tech giant, the claim was automatically canceled.
