Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G - 108MP, Snapdragon 750G and 4820mAh battery for $243
Xiaomi has introduced a 5G version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro smartphone. It radically differs from the usual Note 9 Pro both externally and technical characteristics. The device received a 120 Hz screen, a Snapdragon processor, Samsung's flagship camera, a capacious battery with support for fast charging and NFC.
Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is equipped with a 6.67-inch IPS screen with Full HD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 240 Hz touch layer scan rate. This means that the image will be smoother, and the display will respond faster to touch. It is framed by thin bezels, and the front camera is placed in a small cutout in the center.
The smartphone received a quad-camera with the flagship 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor measuring 1/1.52 inches. It supports combining 9 adjacent pixels into one large 2.1μm pixel to improve photo quality in low light conditions. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra has a previous generation ISOCELL HM1 sensor. Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G uses proprietary technologies Dual Native ISO Fusion Technology and Super Night View 2.0, as in the top-end Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. In addition to the main 108-megapixel camera, an ultra-wide-angle module, a depth sensor, and one more for macro photography is provided.
Inside, there is a Snapdragon 750G processor, up to 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and a UFS 2.1 drive up to 256 GB expandable with microSD cards. According to the manufacturer, the smartphone scores 351,232 points in AnTuTu. The 4820 mAh battery supports fast 33-watt charging via the USB Type-C connector.
Other features of the smartphone include IP53 water protection, a 3.5 mm headphone Jack, stereo speakers, and the ability to pay for purchases using NFC.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G will come in three versions: 6 + 128 GB for $243, 8 + 128 GB for $274, and 8 + 256 GB for $304.
