Characteristics of three versions of OPPO Reno5 5G revealed by the benchmark
Several network informants point to OPPO's plans to introduce the Reno5 5G smartphone in the near future. Even before the announcement, the gadget appeared in the database of the popular Geekbench benchmark in several versions with different processors produced by Qualcomm and MediaTek.
The first version of the upcoming product with the code number PEGM00 is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chip, and the devices with the PDST00 and PDSM00 part numbers received the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ mobile platform. They are all equipped with 8 GB of RAM. At the same time, the performance of a gadget with a Qualcomm processor is inferior to models on MediaTek: 616/1817 points versus 725/3000 points, respectively, with a load on one and all CPU cores.
Insiders also reported on the possible release of another branded smartphone with the flagship Snapdragon 865 chip and model number PDRM00 but did not provide details about such a modification. The entire Reno5 series is expected to receive support for the OPPO SuperVOOC 2.0 fast 65W charging. The basic version of the device is credited with a 6.43-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 20: 9, a front camera embedded in the screen, and the main camera with 64, 8, 2, and 2-megapixel sensors.
The date of the announcement and the price of representatives of the new OPPO Reno series have not been disclosed.
