iOS 14.2 Confirms Reduced Shipping Package For New iPhones

30 September 2020, Wednesday By M. Konwar

Apple released the second beta version of iOS 14.2. No significant changes were found in the update, but attentive users during the study of the firmware still found something interesting - hints of a "stripped-down" package of new iPhones.

iOS 14.2

After the release of the second beta, iOS 14.2 found a change in wording in ways to reduce exposure to radio frequency radiation when using the iPhone. You can find this section in "Settings" — "General" — "Legal information" — "RF radiation". Previously, there was a recommendation to use complete headphones, but now this phrase has been removed.

Many immediately associated this change with rumors that the new iPhone will lose not only the complete power adapter, but also branded wired EarPods. As reported, along with smartphones in the package will only be a cable for charging and syncing with a computer.

According to rumors, Apple will introduce new smartphones on October 13. Four models are expected, including the compact 5.4-inch iPhone 12 mini, 6.1-inch iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max.
