GMK NucBox: home PC the size of a mouse
On the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform, the pre-order of GMK NucBox has started - a system unit with a full-fledged PC hardware, which is comparable in size to a computer mouse. The new product based on the Intel processor with 8 GB of RAM is already available for order at a special price.
Thanks to its miniature size (62 x 62 x 42 mm), the "pocket system" weighing only 125 grams takes up minimum space on the desktop - you can simply slide it behind the monitor by connecting a keyboard and mouse via Bluetooth. If there are no wireless peripherals at hand, there will be no problems with free connectors: the compact PC has two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, one USB Type-C, an HDMI output for an external display, a headphone jack and a MicroSD slot for up to 128 GB.
The hardware of the new product is sharpened for performing typical home scenarios: watching movies in up to 4K resolution, surfing the web, and other everyday tasks. The Quad-core Intel Celeron J4125 processor with support for integrated Intel UHD 600 graphics and 8 GB of RAM will cope with the office package when working remotely or during the school year. For file storage, there is an SSD drive with a capacity of 128 to 512 GB in different configurations. An integrated Wi-Fi module with a stated bandwidth of up to 867 Mbit/s is responsible for wireless network connectivity.
GMK NucBox can now be pre-ordered on Indiegogo for $179 instead of $209 for the 128GB version. Also included in the kit for the system unit on the page is a portable 4K screen with a diagonal of 13.3" for $199.
