ASRock Unveils Thinnest Ryzen 4000U Mini PC
ASRock has unveiled a new Mars desktop computer based on an AMD Ryzen 4000U processor. With its modest dimensions, the gadget received a wide range of input-output ports, support for Wi-Fi 6, and the ability to install both SATA and M.2 drives.
The ASRock Mars 4000U measures 194 x 159 x 26mm with a 0.7-liter case. It is noteworthy that the manufacturer positions the new product as a Kit-set for self-assembly. ASRock has provided five configurations of the nettop at once: the buyer can choose both the basic Ryzen 3 4300U processor with four cores and four threads (frequency 2.7/3.7 GHz) and the top-end Ryzen 7 4800U with 8 cores and 16 threads (frequency 1.6/4.2 GHz).
The computer is equipped with a wide range of ports: 4 x USB 3.2 Type A, 2 x USB 2.0, 1 x USB 3.2 Type-C, HDMI, and D-Sub, as well as an SD card reader. The case height is only 26 mm.
Moreover, the rest of the technical characteristics of any of the five versions are identical. The computers are offered exclusively with integrated graphics and can accommodate two SO-DIMM DDR4-3200 memory modules, as well as two SSD drives - one each for SATA and M.2 interfaces. Additionally, there is an M.2 slot, into which you can connect an optional Intel AX200 Wi-Fi module with support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.
The manufacturer has not disclosed the cost of ASRock Mars 4000U yet.
