Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics revealed by benchmark
In the database of the diagnostic utility, SiSoftware Sandra appeared Intel Iris Xe graphics processor, not yet represented by the chipmaker. The publication declassified not only the name but also details about the specifications of the new integrated graphics, the hardware of which will be almost identical to the manufacturer's first discrete graphics card.
According to the source, the new product will receive 96 executive units and 768 graphic cores with a clock frequency of 1.3 GHz - the same as the discrete Intel Xe DG1 video card announced earlier. For comparison, the current version of the integrated video adapters of the company acquired 64 units at a video core frequency of 1.1 GHz.
Previously, the gadget was tested in gaming tasks and compared with AMD solutions. It is expected that the built-in Iris Xe graphics will be introduced as part of Intel's Tiger Lake-U mobile processors in the next few weeks. The date when the first devices equipped with new chips appeared on the market is unknown.
