New mobile Ryzen 7 5800H tested in Geekbench
One of AMD's long-awaited announcements is the new Ryzen 5000 family of hybrid chips, codenamed Cezanne. And although the company did not officially disclose the specifications and characteristics of this platform, the results of testing one of the top models of the family appeared in the base of the popular Geekbench benchmark.
In geekbench 5, the AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor was discovered, which will become the basis for a new family of gaming laptops of different brands. The chip architecture includes eight cores operating at the standard frequency of 3.2 ghz and up to 4.44 ghz in dynamic overclocking mode. Increasing frequencies is one of the key methods to improve the performance of Cezanne processors in addition to doubling the L3 cache and using a new architecture.
The current Ryzen 7 4800H chip has a core operating mode of 2.9 - 4.2 GHz. According to Geekbench 5, the Ryzen 7 5800H scored 1,475 and 7,630 in single and multi-core tests, respectively. These figures are 15% and 35% higher than the result of the predecessor.
