New Intel Rocket Lake processor overtakes AMD Ryzen 7 5800X in benchmark
A well-known insider under the nickname Tum_Apisak, specializing in news about computer hardware, published in his blog the results of testing an unannounced eight-core Intel processor in Geekbench. According to the informant, we are talking about a new model of the Rocket Lake family, which in terms of performance will be able to compete with the recently introduced AMD Ryzen 7 5800X chip.
Judging by the screenshot leaked to the network, the processor was tested in Geekbench 5 as part of the HP Omen gaming laptop with 32 GB of RAM. The base clock speed of the CPU was 3.41 GHz, and in automatic overclocking mode - 4.98 GHz.
According to the test results, the eight-core chip with 16 execution threads scored 1645 and 9783 points when loaded on one and all cores, respectively. This allowed it to get close to the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X with the results of 1661 and 10 367 "parrots". The source does not report the release date of the new product.
