The AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT benchmark appeared on the network
Tests results of the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT appeared on the network - an advanced video card of the Big Navi line and a direct competitor to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090. In terms of "bare" computing power, it is ahead of the RX 6800 XT by about 13%.
The AMD chip was tested in Geekbench and scored 169,779 points — 13% more than the 6800 XT and 35% more than the RX 6800. However, the new product is inferior to NVIDIA video cards: it was about 19% weaker than the RTX 3080 and 4% weaker than the RTX 3080. On the other hand, the Geekbench OpenCL benchmark has always been a "home platform" for NVIDIA chips: GeForce video cards traditionally show powerful results.
AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT will be available on December 8th for $999. This, again, is a direct competitor to the RTX 3090, almost as good as the leading graphics card of the generation in performance. However, the first generation of RT chips from AMD still has certain problems with ray tracing.
