Unannounced MediaTek MT6893 processor showed impressive results in AnTuTu
There is more and more information about the yet-to-be-announced MediaTek MT6893 processor. Previously, it was seen in the Geekbench benchmark database, and now it is lit up in AnTuTu. Once again, the chipset demonstrates high performance and even surpasses the flagship from Qualcomm.
In AnTuTu, the still-mysterious MediaTek MT6893 processor, installed in a device with 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, a 256 GB UFS 3.1 drive, a 90-inch screen, and Android 11 as the operating system, gave out an impressive 622,409 points.
In a detailed comparison of the MT6893 with Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 865, it turned out that the MediaTek processor outperforms its competitor in terms of the graphics accelerator, which has always been the weak point of the Chinese company's chips. In the overall standings, the new chip also proved to be more productive than the snapdragon.
According to available information, MediaTek MT6893 will be made using a 6nm process technology. The chipset will include an eight-core CPU with one super-powerful Cortex-A78 core clocked at 3.0 GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores at 2.6 GHz, and four energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores operating at up to 2.0 GHz. The video accelerator Mali-G77 MC9 will be responsible for the graphics.
The presentation of the new processor is expected before the end of this year.
