The power of the new discrete Intel graphics card revealed by the benchmark
Earlier it was reported that Intel has already started testing a new model of the discrete graphics card for desktop computers. At the same time, the yet-to-be-announced Intel DG2 graphics processor has been highlighted in the database of the popular Geekbench benchmark.
During testing, the Intel DG2 was found in the Intel Gen12HP HD Graphics NEO test build. Presumably a special hardware configuration is used for configuring and debugging the graphics accelerator, since it runs Ubuntu. In terms of performance, DG2 still matches the results of not the most recent AMD Radeon R9 270.
Based on the description, Intel Corporation WHITLEY is equipped with a 24-core processor and 128GB of RAM. Also, thanks to the publication, it became known that the DG2 video card will have 512 computing units. The DG2 is clocked at 1.15GHz with 7GB of memory. It is possible that the serial sample of the video card will be overclocked to 1.6 - 1.8 GHz, and the memory capacity will be increased to 16 GB.
The Intel DG2 presentation is expected to take place in early summer 2021 at Computex 2021.
