Nokia has introduced a new TWS headset with IPX7 protection and its first Bluetooth speaker
Following the Nokia 2.4 and Nokia 3.4 smartphones, the Nokia Power Earbuds Lite wireless headset with Bluetooth 5.0 module, water protection, and touch panels has been added to the list of new products of the brand. In addition, the company introduced its first portable Bluetooth speaker, notable for its large speaker diameter and the ability to create a stereo system from two accessories.
In terms of design, the Nokia Power Earbuds Lite TWS headphones are identical to the more expensive version of Power Earbuds, but differ from the older model in a number of hardware characteristics. In particular, the manufacturer has reduced the capacity of the complete power bank case from 3000 mAh to 600 mAh. According to Nokia, the headphones can work for 5 hours on a single charge, and up to 35 hours on a case charge.
In addition, instead of USB Type-C, the case received a more affordable micro-USB connector. The headphones are equipped with 6 mm graphene-coated drivers and connect to a signal source via Bluetooth 5.0 wireless protocol. the accessory is protected from water according to the IPX7 standard — it can withstand a dive to a depth of 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. To control playback, there are touch keys placed on each earpiece.
The first Bluetooth speaker of the brand called Nokia Portable Wireless Speaker received hardware volume and power buttons, as well as a play/pause key. The charging port of the device is covered with a plug, presumably serving to protect against dust and splashes, although the manufacturer does not report on the certification of the gadget according to the IP standard.
The case of the new product contains a 43-mm driver and an 800 mAh battery, which, according to the specification, can provide up to 4 hours of music playback. The built-in microphones allow you to use the speaker for phone calls. The Bluetooth 5.0 wireless module is responsible for connecting compact speakers to a smartphone or player.
The price of the Nokia Power Earbuds Lite headset is €79, and the headphones will be available in October. The manufacturer has not yet revealed the price of the Bluetooth speaker, but promises that the gadget will debut in retail in November 2020.
