Samsung introduced the AKG Y400 and Y600 NC headphones with noise reduction and high autonomy
Samsung under the AKG brand introduced two models of advanced headphones equipped with noise-canceling technology, fast charging, and impressive autonomy. The Y600 NC is positioned as a full-size solution that can run for up to 25 hours without charging, while the compact AKG Y400 boasts large drivers and 20-hour autonomy.
AKG Y600 NC is a premium headphone model with an active noise reduction system that provides manual adjustment of the sensitivity and cutoff threshold of surrounding sounds. The gadget is equipped with large 40 mm drivers that can play music in the frequency range from 10 to 24,000 Hz with a minimum level of acoustic distortion.
The headphones are equipped with an automatic playback stop function, which is activated the moment the user takes off the headphones. The playback also starts automatically when the device is placed on the head again. The high autonomy of the AKG Y600 NC is also noteworthy - 25 hours from a single charge. At the same time, the manufacturer took care of the integration of fast charging technology - just 10 minutes at the outlet allow the headphones to work up to 4 hours. The device weighs 322 grams.
Compact AKG Y400 received 36 mm drivers with a declared frequency range of 20 to 20,000 Hz. Like the flagship model, the Y600 NC, the headphones are equipped with an automatic pause/play function when the device is removed from the head.
Autonomy AKG Y400 is 20 hours. After just 10 minutes of charging, they are able to play music continuously for the next 10 hours. Additionally, the headphones are equipped with an intelligent algorithm for suppressing ambient noise during headset operation, ensuring high-quality voice transmission of the owner.
The AKG Y600 NC is priced at $255. The AKG Y400 headphones will cost $140. The start of sales of new products is scheduled for July 24. Both models will be available on Samsung's official website.
