OnePlus showed its first TWS headphones and declassified its chips

14 July 2020, Tuesday By M. Konwar
After numerous rumors and leaks, OnePlus has officially announced its first fully wireless Buds headphones. The company not only showed the design of the device but also told about its key features.

OnePlus Buds

OnePlus founder and CEO Pete Lau posted a large article on new headphones at the company's official forum. According to him, there are many analogs on the market, but it is difficult to find a quality product at a reasonable price. Pete Lau is sure that OnePlus Buds will be just such headphones.

"Just like with our smartphones, when we make headphones we start with the fundamentals, not of the engineering specs, but of the experience in using them. How should they look, feel, and sound? What can we do to make them faster, easier, and more effortless to use?" - wrote Pete Lau.

Some people use headphones more often than smartphones. Therefore, OnePlus set a goal to make a convenient form factor that would be securely held in the ear, but at the same time did not cause discomfort even in the case of a full day of work. For this reason, the company decided on inserts.

If you increase the brightness of the official image, you can evaluate the approximate design of the headphones. They are reminiscent of Apple's AirPods, but with slightly different body shape.

OnePlus promises up to 7 hours of continuous listening to music on a single charge and the ability to fully charge the headphones from the case more than three times, which in total should provide up to 30 hours of battery life. At the same time, the weight of the headphones is only 3.6 grams, and the case is 36 grams.

The presentation of the OnePlus Buds is expected along with the new OnePlus Nord smartphone on July 21.
