Insiders revealed the design and cost of the Apple AirTag
On the eve of today's presentation of Apple, a series of renders of one of the expected new products of the company appeared on the network - a proprietary tracker AirTag for finding missing devices and items. The well-known insider Jon Prosser, who specializes in the brand's products, revealed not only the design features of the original gadget but also named its key characteristics, as well as the retail price comparable to buying a budget Android smartphone.
Together with the designer under the nickname Concept Creator, the informant published a selection of images dedicated to the as-yet-unannounced accessory. Judging by the renders, the miniature gadget will be made in the form of a coin, the resemblance to which is additionally made by the metal lower part.
One of the inscriptions on the case confirms that AirTag is equipped with an integrated U1 chip, which was first introduced by the company in the iPhone 11 line. This means that the gadget will transmit its location with much higher accuracy than trackers based on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi modules.
The device is rumored to be trackable in the Find My app for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. Apple is expected to make a custom leather case and keychain for the tags and will be sold separately, Prosser said. The cost of AirTag, according to the source, will range from $69 to $99.
