Nokia has released its alternative Xiaomi Mi Box for $46
Nokia brand introduced a proprietary Android set-top box with Smart TV functions called Media Streamer. The affordable new product with Full HD output resolution has small dimensions, support for current multimedia standards, and a minimalistic remote control equipped with a built-in microphone for interaction with the Google Assistant voice assistant.
Nokia Media Streamer is built on the basis of a Quad-core processor with Mali-450 graphics and is equipped with 1 GB of RAM, the volume of the built-in storage for the needs of Andriod TV 9 and the installation of applications is 8 GB. The set-top box can play 1080p @ 60 fps content and supports Dolby Audio surround sound technology. The device is connected to the TV via an HDMI 2.0 cable, and the USB port is responsible for power supply.
To connect to a wireless network, a dual-band Wi-Fi module 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz) is provided. In addition, content on TV can be streamed from other gadgets via Chromecast, Miracast, DLNA or AirPlay. The remote control received dedicated buttons to quickly launch Netflix and Zee5 clients, as well as Google Assistant to control the TV via voice commands.
Nokia Media Streamer sales will start in India next week, on August 28. The new product will cost customers $46.
