Colgate introduced a smart toothbrush with artificial intelligence
Colgate has introduced a new generation of smart electric brushes equipped with special algorithms based on artificial intelligence. In addition to the low cost in comparison with competitors, the manufacturer focuses on the fact that the brushes are able to provide individual recommendations for improving the quality of oral cleaning.
Visually, the new brush is very similar to the previously presented Connect E1 model. The gadget has a lot of sensors, including an accelerometer and a gyroscope, which determine the speed of movement and the position of the hand. The sensor is equipped with an independent chip that provides offline synchronization, so the user does not need to constantly carry a phone to exchange information.
The assistant app shows a three-dimensional model with dental cleaning statistics so that the user can understand which teeth they spend little time on. In addition, the brush is equipped with a "Controlled cleaning" function, which provides accompanying alerts in real-time. Colgate can also integrate into the Apple Health ecosystem.
Another feature of the Colgate toothbrush is the ability to earn special points for regular brushing. When users reach their goals, they collect points: each point is equal to one cent. If you score, say, 999 points, you can order a set of two replacement brush heads at the Colgate brand store. In the future, the company plans to expand the store's range by entering into partnerships with other companies.
The cost of the brush is $49 and $69 for versions with batteries and with a rechargeable battery.
