LG UltraGear 27GN950 - the world's first IPS monitor with a 4K resolution and 1ms response
LG has introduced the new 27-inch UltraGear 27GN950 gaming monitor, the successor to the 27GL850. According to the manufacturer, the new product uses the world's first IPS-display with 4K resolution, 1-millisecond response and support for Gray-to-Gray (GTG) technology.
The UltraGear 27GN950 is redesigned with an updated UltraGear logo to resemble a pair of wings. On the back of it, there is also an LED ring, iridescent in different colors.
In addition to the speed and color accuracy of its predecessor, the new UltraGear monitor delivers crisp 4K images. According to the manufacturer, the combination of speed, high resolution, and the ability to display 98% of the DCI-P3 color space provide gamers with the necessary effect of presence. With VESA Streaming Compression (DSC) technology, the monitor can deliver 4K images in 10-bit color at 144Hz with just one DisplayPort cable.
The monitor also supports hardware calibration to achieve the most accurate color reproduction using proprietary Nano IPS technology. In addition, the product has received VESA DisplayHDR 6005 certification, which confirms color accuracy, dynamic contrast, high brightness, and wide color gamut.
The model also features HDR and NVIDIA G-Sync support to deliver WDR with 10-bit color depth and prevent tearing. The release date of the new item and its price will be announced later.
