Xiaomi has released the world's first eye-friendly lamp
Xiaomi has announced the start of sales of the smart lamp Mi Zero Blue Light Bedside Night Lamp, which was previously raised on the crowdfunding platform Youpin. According to the manufacturer, it has no analogs, as it is the world's first lamp without harmful blue radiation for the eyes.
The device was developed by a team of scientists from the Chinese Academy of Sciences of Nanchang University. To achieve a low color temperature without the use of phosphorus, yellow and red LEDs are used as the main light source in the new product. So the lamp, in contrast to existing analogs on the market, where special filters are used, does not emit blue light at all. Thanks to this, the lamp is completely safe for human eyes. It is reported that even small children with very sensitive vision can look at this lamp without harm.
The device supports smartphone control, can play music, and even work as an alarm clock. In safe mode, the lamp power is 2 W. If desired, you can switch to normal operation by activating 12 LEDs with a power of 0.5 W.
In China, the lamp has already gone on sale at a price of $47.
