DJI Mavic 2 EA: Thermal Imager, Modular Accessory Support and 10km Range
DJI has unveiled the flagship drone Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced. The drone received a thermal imaging and RGB camera, as well as an improved positioning algorithm that allows you to determine the location of the gadget with an accuracy of up to a centimeter. The new product also supports a variety of modular accessories.
The Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced has a thermal imager with a resolution of 640x512 pixels, as well as a main camera with a CMOS matrix with a physical size of 1/2 inch and a resolution of 48 megapixel. According to the manufacturer, the frame rate of the thermal imager is 30 Hz, and the measurement accuracy is within 2° C. It is noteworthy that the complete control panel allows you to switch to each camera individually, and start viewing from two sensors synchronously.
The visual digital zoom of the main camera reaches 32 times, that of the thermal imager - 16. In addition, the thermal imager is equipped with a function of spot temperature measurement and provides the ability to calculate the average, low or high temperature in the selected area.
The new Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced drone supports the connection of a special RTK positioning module. It provides positioning accuracy up to a centimeter, and also supports the NTRIP function, which allows you to perform checks in difficult conditions. The manufacturer has taken care of the protection functions of the drone: they make it possible to save flight data, captured photos and videos. The gadget is equipped with 24 GB of internal memory, access to which can be encrypted with a password.
The battery life of the drone is 31 minutes, and the maximum speed can reach 72 km/h. The drone can be controlled up to 10 kilometers away thanks to OcuSync 2.0 video and data transmission technology. As modular drone accessories, DJI offers a 2400 lumens projector, 100-decibel speaker, beacon and DKI Smart Controller with a 5.5-inch display capable of displaying Full HD content.
