David Prowse - Darth Vader from the classic Star Wars trilogy has died
Actor, bodybuilder, and weightlifter David Prowse has died at the age of 85. He is best known for his role as Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy.
Prowse was the "body" of the villain, but he was voiced by a completely different actor - James Earl Jones. An interesting story is connected with this. Although the character was originally planned to be re-voiced in post-production, no one told Prwose about this - he voiced all the hero's replicas.
It was funny enough, because there was no threat in Prowse's voice.
It is noteworthy that because of Prowse's voice on the set of the trilogy, he was nicknamed "Darth Farmer".Prowse also played in "A Clockwork Orange", "Casino Royale", "The Horror of Frankenstein" and "Doctor Who" during his long life. He also became the British weightlifting champion three times.
